Edgewater, MD Italian Restaurants

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health inspects restaurants and other food service facilities routinely to monitor the sanitary and physical conditions at each establishment. The Old Stein Inn, a south county favorite for decades, has a comfortable mom and pop” kind of atmosphere and is favored by many local families as a place to get together — either in the beautifully redecorated dining room or in the attractive and inviting patio biergarten.
There are quite a few choices on the pizza menu, from traditional toppings to buffalo chicken with homemade buffalo wing meat, celery and blue cheese dressing; chicken pesto with artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes; and one featuring jumbo lump crab meat.

In 2016, Sal and Maria traveled to New York City, where they became part of an elite group of Italian restaurant owners who received Ospitalita Southern Italian restaurant Edgewater, MD Italian, an award presented by the Italian Chamber of Commerce to restaurants that distinguish themselves as true Italian food.
Artisan pizzas, homemade pasta, and hearty entrees are served with an array of salads and sides and accompanied by a variety of Italian-inspired cocktails, imported liqueurs and spirits, and fine wines from around the world. Long a favorite with locals, Mike's offers everything from a casual laid-back atmosphere for picking crabs to a culinary opus like Spinach-stuffed Rockfish with Feta and Bacon ($24).

Appetizers, soups, salads, pasta, seafood, entrees and desserts. We source local seafood and produce from the surrounding community with a special emphasis on homemade dressings, sauces and desserts. Other signature dishes include fried calamari, caponata Siciliana, eggplant rollatini, hand-tossed pizzas, and wood-fired calzones, while sweet Italian desserts range from tiramisu, cheesecake, cannoli, Torta di Nonna, and homemade limoncello.
An excellent selection of wine from the restaurant's wine cellars can be paired with the food or enjoyed in the casual lounge next to the restaurant. Famas Pizza and Pasta is a family-friendly Italian kitchen serving traditional Italian cuisine in a modern, minimalist setting with comfortable outdoor patio seating.
As is the case with many south county restaurants that have made a name for themselves, Killarney House is serious about fulfilling its role as a member of the community. The Italian Market's chefs use only the finest, freshest ingredients to create their authentic Italian dishes.

The raw bar comes packing heat with fresh local oysters, poke, ceviche, fried oysters, shrimp or fresh lobster sliders. Try the Shrimp Panang, which is prepared in a curry peanut sauce with fresh basil ($10 lunch, $14 dinner) or opt for the Pad King, your choice of chicken or beef with ginger, mushrooms, onions and a light bean sauce ($8 lunch, $10 dinner).
Wood-fired pizza, calzone, and strombolis can also be ordered in three different sizes, while special entrees include chicken parmigiana, shrimp fra diavolo, eggplant rollatini, and chicken marsala. The bar menu offers local and craft beer, unique cocktails using fresh ingredients, not your average wine list, as well as non-alcoholic faux-tails.
