KAESER Condensate drains remove condensate separated in centrifugal separators, air receivers, refrigeration dryers and filters from the compressed air system. The electronic capacitive sensor probe placed inside the drain reservoir controls the discharge by initiating the discharge command to a built-in indirect operated solenoid valve When the condensate reaches the probe, the solenoid valve is actuated and opens.
Installed at collection points anywhere in your pneumatic system, these heavy-duty drains can be depended upon to discharge the condensate draintrap automatically and to eliminate the need for periodic or constant blow-downs so costly in time and compressed air losses.
The output from pin (12) is taken to pin (2) of the timer integrated circuit 28. Taking timer circuit pin (2) to zero volts (i.e. by feeding the 6 KHz oscillating signal to it) initiates a timing cycle during which timer circuit pin (3) is held at +V and in this condition the solenoid coil 31 is de-energised.
2A, 2B and 2C, the electronic circuit 24 includes a first integrated circuit 27 which serves to compare the signal from the probe 20 with an internal resistance of the circuit 24; a second integrated circuit 28 that is a solid state timer; an opto-isolator 29; and a triac 30. The coil of the solenoid of the valve 22 is represented at 31. Operation is as follows.
By bring about valve opening at least at these predetermined maximum intervals, the monitoring circuit 24A can bring about release of steam that is causing a steam lock, or can give some measure of condensate discharge if some mal-function is preventing this happening in normal manner.
Timed drain valves can be set to open and closed at specific times. Unlike traditional float drains, the operating mechanisms are isolated from condensate so no fouling or sticking occurs. Ingersoll Rand air compressors are made with superior components and backed by our worldwide parts and service organization, providing the support you need to keep your business running.
We specialize in interconnection devices, electronic timers, proximity sensors, modules and specialty electronic devices. The eco drain condensate valve is worthwhile and reliable. When the pressure drops below the closing pressure the Condensate Drain Valve opens by spring force.
Some even make drains for use on vacuum systems. They use electronic solenoids, or ball valves to maintain a pre-determined acceptable level of condensate. The condensate removal drain eliminates the risk of human error by providing a regular controlled system of draining - on time, every time - automatically.
